Delicate Pleasures

The flower meaning for Sweet Pea is “Delicate Pleasures,” and stitching this design will bring hours pleasure to the needle artist.  Pastel sweet peas climbing a garden trellis are stitched with buttonhole stitch, Rosalie’s original Ridged Blanket Stitch and a new variation of the buttonhole-stitched bullion that solidly fills in each petal.   Satin leaves are stitched with shaded floss to add light and movement to foliage, and Travelin’ Tendrils add further realism to the design.
