1991 as a non-profit organization to promote the art of Brazilian embroidery
through seminars, newsletters, website, and workshops and has worldwide
membership.
Membership to BDEIG is open to all stitchers, amateur and professional, novice and experienced. The only criteria for membership are a love of Brazilian embroidery and the desire to learn more about this needle art. |

The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., (EGA), was formed for the express purpose of fostering the art of needlework and associated arts. EGA seeks to promote cooperation and the exchange of ideas among those who are engaged in needlework throughout the world by encouraging a high standard of design and technique in embroidery. EGA provides a center to be used as a bureau of education and information regarding the art of embroidery for all guild members. It is our purpose to conduct instruction and research in the art of needlework and to distribute related materials and publications to members and to the public. |

| Examplary Needle Guild | "The Examplary Needle Guild" is devoted to the study and preservation of samplers and is open to stitchers and non-stitchers alike. Its goal is to educate members and foster an appreciation of sampler needle art. The group meets every other month, and has daytime meetings. Activities include workshops, lectures, guest teachers, displays, stitch-ins, newsletters, chart library and more. Dues are $20 a year, and you also receive their newsletter. Also - a $15.00 per year Associate membership. Associate members receive the newsletter and can attend four meetings and two events each year." |
