Beginners Brazilian Embroidery 
Instruction Kit JDR Kit 3 (Print 321) Gerone Daisy

6" x 6"  Intended finished size.  Fabric is at least 9" x 9" The Gerone Daisy is actually a reinforcement of the pistil stitch that you learned in lesson # 2. But because the daisy is so often used in Brazilian Embroidery designs, and since it is a quick and easy flower it is important to spend a lesson on it. Also this flower lends itself well to “liven up” a blouse, dress or skirt as the thread washes very nicely. Stitches in this learning pattern: Stem stitch, couching, leaf stitch (alternating sating stitch) Reviews.  More help with bullions and the new stitch is the pistil stitch.  These all are easy Brazilian Embroidery stitches to learn.

After you have completed the Learning kit 3, why not make another and choose your own threads. The JDR #321 is the same print of this design. Also you are now ready to do Sunshine’s Treasures # 4, “Gerry” The Gerone Daisy. ST4 is a complete kit with the finishing hoop, threads, needles & directions. The ST 4 is a smaller design and is great for gift giving! 

Thread colors in the kits may vary because of dye lot changes or availability.

It is important for beginners to Brazilian Embroidery to use the kits in the right sequence as building blocks.  Some of the basics are not repeated in the other kits. All JDR teaching kits are featured in the book "JDR Brazilian Embroidery Book 1" by Ria Ferrell, if you need a refresher.  The book is NOT necessary if the proper sequence is followed and no steps are missed.  

Kits with new stitches are: #1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, and 12.  Kits #3, 7, 9, and 10 reinforce, expand and change the layout of the stitches already learned.
